Working with people in recovery from childhood or more recent relational wounds; life transitions; and family of origin issues are my strong suits.

My professional experience includes:

Some definitions

Trauma-Informed

Trauma-Informed therapy acknowledges the impact of trauma in our daily life. Therefore, trauma therapy cares for all of you: The physical, psychological, and emotional.

Holding safe space

Holding space is about being with others without judgment. It requires my authenticity,  and ability to let go of my own beliefs to really hold space for your truth.  It is a humanistic concept related to the basic acceptance and support of a person regardless of what the person says or does. The safe space creates opportunities for survivors to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.

Mindfulness

The state in which we become aware of our physical, mental, and emotional condition in the present moment, without becoming judgmental.  Mindfulness practices are believed to be able to help people better control their thoughts, rather than be controlled by them.
