Therapy for people who think deeply, feel intensely, and are exhausted by both

I work with thoughtful, high-functioning adults navigating anxiety, relational trauma, and identity shifts- especially those who feel overwhelmed by their own mind or stuck in patterns they understand but can’t change.

Hi, I’m Rhea

I’m a licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma recovery. Many of my clients are people who “should be fine.”
They are capable, insightful and often, the person others rely on. But internally, they feel overwhelmed, stuck in their own head, or like slow unraveling.

I walk alongside complicated, creative, and misunderstood humans. I help them understand themselves clearly enough to make different choices: In relationships, identity, and how they respond to stress.

I am relaxed, good humored, encouraging, and interactive. My practice is secular, inclusive, and affirming. I am not going to rush you, or let you get too stuck. My clients typically initially see me for about a year, and then on and off as the seasons of their life change. But everyone is different.

I work especially well with people who are highly perceptive, sensitive, or intellectually driven: People who tend to overthink, feel deeply, and struggle to turn their mind off. For this group of humans, therapy can be leveraged to understand and direct the unique challenges and pressures associated with their abilities.

It is my belief all persons are deserving of, and entitled to receive counseling services regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or disability.

The Long Answer

My approach integrates trauma-informed care with Internal Family Systems and somatics. When appropriate, I introduce Dialectal Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral modalities. I have a deep understanding of the unique issues sensitive individuals may face in their relationships. By addressing both relational trauma and attachment, I help clients navigate their emotional struggles, enhance their self-awareness, and foster healthier relationships.

In short, I aim to empower my clients to heal from their relationship wounds, develop healthier patterns, and cultivate more fulfilling connections in their lives.
