Supervision

For counselors who want to think deeply, practice ethically, and develop confidence

How I Supervise

My approach is relational, direct, and developmental. I am supportive first and challenging when needed.

Supervision is a place to think. Together, we look at what is happening with your clients, what is happening inside of you as the clinician, and how the two interact.

We focus on:

  • understanding the client's experience, not just their symptoms or diagnosis

  • noticing your reactions, instincts, strengths, and places to re-examine

  • thoughtful decisions for complex clinical situations

  • tolerating uncertainty

  • developing confidence in your clinical judgment

  • finding a style of practice that is authentic to you

My goal is to help you become a thoughtful, ethical clinician who can think critically, remain curious, and trust yourself in the room. We need all kinds of therapists, and I am here to support the effort.

Supervision is so much more than collecting hours toward licensure!

Becoming a therapist means: Learning how to think clinically, tolerate uncertainty, understand yourself, sit with complicated people and situations, all without rushing to the answers.

I provide supervision for LPC Candidates looking for supervisor who will help them to ask questions, explore mistakes, strengthen their clinical judgment, and develop their own style of practice. We'll think about your clients, your reactions, professional identity, and what is happening in the room.

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and direct. I believe good supervision should help you grow not only in knowledge and skill, but also in confidence and professional identity.
